FARGO – One person is at large as the Cass County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation into a stolen vehicle report.
The report was received shortly after 6 a.m. Monday in Mapleton.
The sheriff’s office said the vehicle was located in Fargo after deputies used an app that track’s the vehicle location. It was spotted at around 7:30 a.m. in the 100 block of 15th Street South.
Two suspects were observed with the vehicle and ran from police when approached. One of the two was apprehended and taken into custody. He’s been identified as 44-year-old Ronald Wilson, of Fargo. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Clay County.
Police established a perimeter in the area in an attempt to locate the second suspect. They involved the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Fargo Police Department and a K-9 unit from West Fargo but were not able to locate the individual.
An area elementary school was notified, and a deputy placed outside of the school ‘for an extended period’ to ensure the safety of students and staff.
