BARNES COUNTY, N.D. – The Barnes County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a recent report of thefts inside substations owned by power companies.
According to Sheriff Randy McClaflin, the thefts happened on May 4 and May 14 near Rogers and Valley City. It’s believed that a person or persons entered the substations by damaging the fencing around the substations and removed ground cable, which was smaller in diameter. Authorities say varying lengths were cut and removed.
