BARNESVILLE, Minn. – City of Barnesville officials write on social media City Council Member Dawn Stuvland has died.
“[Stuvland] served in Ward 1 with dedication and integrity since first being elected in 2015. Dawn was committed to serving the residents of Barnesville servant and cared deeply about our community,” a post on the City of Barnesville’s Facebook page said.
The Lend A Hand Up website said Stuvland was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in March 2025 requiring her to relocate to Rochester, Minnesota for a stem cell transplant.
City officials say Stuvland’s funeral and memorial arrangements will be shared when they become available.
