DETROIT LAKES, MINN. – Becker County Sheriff Todd Glander says he’s not seeking reelection.
“After serving this community while wearing the uniform and badge for 38 years, and three terms as your Sheriff, I am announcing that I will not be seeking re-election,” he said in a post on social media Friday morning. “The decision to retire at the end of this term did not come without hours of prayer, reflection, and heartfelt discussions with my wife. I have been blessed to serve this county since 1988, especially the past 11 years as your Sheriff, and will continue to honorably serve this county until the conclusion of this term next January.”
Prior to being Sheriff, Glander rose through the ranks at the office – first as deputy sheriff and then sergeant. He was elected sheriff in 2014 and was reelected in 2018 and 2022.
