Cass County, N.D. – The Cass County Commission is holding a special meeting on Thursday to sign off on the usage of resources from the Federal Emergency Management Agency with the ongoing storm recovery.
“I’ve been amazed by the outpouring of support and the volunteers to help communities regather and rebuild,” said County Commissioner Tony Grindberg on The Flag’s What’s On Your Mind?
“Certainly our thoughts and prayers are with the victims impacted by the storms.”

Grindberg says the American Red Cross has handed out 800 meals to affected residents in Page, which is one of several towns and cities that suffered the most destruction.
“One of the things I clearly learned over the weekend after many calls and meetings is how well organized [we are] to respond to events like this,” said Grindberg. “People step up in times of need and I’m so proud.”
But the recovery effort is continuing, as volunteers are still need in places like Page and Hunter.
“Hang in there,” said Grindberg. “Services are continuing to head your way.”
