FARGO, ND – A Cass County Sheriff’s Office Correctional Deputy is on administrative leave after an incident at the Cass County Jail.
Sheriff Jesse Jahner says Deputy Andrew Robinson was placed on leave due to an alleged assault of an inmate in the jail.
Sheriff Jahner contacted the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and requested they investigate the allegations brought forward by the inmate. Once the BCI has finished its investigation, the Sheriff’s Office will investigate the incident internally.
“When an allegation like this is made, the Sheriff’s Office will contact an outside agency to ensure an unbiased third-party investigation,” a news release from the sheriff’s office said.
