Cass County Sheriff urges no travel

NORTH FARGO, N.D. – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is asking people not to travel if possible.

In a video posted to the sheriff’s office’s Facebook page this morning, Jahner said conditions in north Fargo were ‘very poor with the visibility and the snow-covered roads.’

“It’s very hard to determine where the roads are. We’ve had a number of vehicles sliding off the roadways today,” he said. “We are advising people not to travel if you don’t have to.”

While responding to the calls for service as normal, Jahner advised response times are slowed due to the need to plow the roads.

“We have our emergency vehicles out and are able to respond in these conditions if needed,” he said. “But again, we are strongly advising people to stay home, do not travel if you do not have to.”
