WEST FARGO, N.D. – A West Fargo school says one of their students was bit by a dog this week on the way to school.
In a message to school parents on social media, Brooks Harbor Elementary School says the boy, whose age or grade was not listed, came across a dog and its owner Tuesday morning near the 26th Avenue roundabout.
When the boy asked to pet the dog, which was described as either a pug or a French bulldog, the school says the animal bit the child on the wrist, leaving a dark bruise and a tooth mark.
The school says it could’ve been worse, had the child not been wearing a fleece jacket.
The school is asking parents for any information about the dog’s owner.
