Child hurt & woman facing drug charges after crash near Northern Cass School

NEAR HUNTER, N.D – A child is seriously hurt, and a woman faces multiple charges, after two SUVs collided a half mile west of Northern Cass School.

Around 8am Friday morning, North Dakota Highway Patrol says a vehicle driving on County Road 26 crossed the center line and crashed into another vehicle head-on.

Authorities say a 41-year-old Fargo woman driving the SUV that veered into oncoming traffic, and a passenger in the second vehicle, who is a child from Hope, were seriously injured.

The other SUV driver, a 54-year-old woman from Galesburg, has minor injuries.

All three people were taken to a Fargo hospital.  Troopers say they all were wearing seat belts.

The unnamed Fargo woman was arrested on suspicion of meth and drug paraphernalia possession.

Authorities say the road was closed for four hours.  The crash remains under investigation.
