City of Fargo closes Elm Street North due to rising water

FARGO, ND – The rising waters due to recent heavy rainfall is impacting a stretch of Fargo’s Elm Street North.

The city closed the street last night between 13^th Avenue North and 15^th Avenue North, due to rising Red River waters. The traffic is being detoured to 3^rd Street North.

Corey Hoium, City Public Works Service Manager, says the closure is needed because the high water is causing safety concerns for travelers.
