Concordia College releases concert schedule for first semester of 2025-2206 school year

MOORHEAD, Minn. — Concordia College is out with a schedule of upcoming musical concerts for the first semester of the 2025-2026 academic year.

All of the events are free and open to the public except for the Concordia Christmas Concerts, the PRISM concert, and the Homecoming Concert.

Here’s a list of all the events to come:

September

  • “Life, the Universe, and Everything,” Jennifer Waleczek, piano, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, Hvidsten Hall of Music, Christiansen Recital Hall.
  • Fall Student Composer Recital, 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, Hvidsten Hall of Music, Christiansen Recital Hall.

October

  • Homecoming Concert, 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, Memorial Auditorium.
    • Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, and free for Concordia students, faculty, and staff. Tickets will be available at ConcordiaTickets.com.
  • Fall Choir Concert, 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, Memorial Auditorium.
  • Jazz Bands Concert, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, Hvidsten Hall of Music, Buxton/Hanson Rehearsal Hall.
  • Griffeath Voice Studio Recital, 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, Hvidsten Hall of Music, Christiansen Recital Hall.

November

  • Band Tour Home Concert, 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, Memorial Auditorium.
  • Senior Honors Concert, 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, Knutson Campus Center, Centrum.
  • High School Honor Strings Concert, 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, Memorial Auditorium.
  • Guest and Faculty Recital: Kelly Burns and Robin Griffeath, 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, Hvidsten Hall of Music, Christiansen Recital Hall.
  • Symphonia Concert, 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, Hvidsten Hall of Music, Buxton/Hanson Rehearsal Hall.
  • Concordia Concert Handbells, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, Hvidsten Hall of Music, Christiansen Recital Hall.
  • Guest Recital: Dennis Parker, cello, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, Hvidsten Hall of Music, Christiansen Recital Hall.
  • PRISM Concert, noon, Sunday, Nov. 23, Memorial Auditorium.
    • At a PRISM concert, musicians and visual elements surround the audience, providing an immersive experience.
    • Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children and students. Concordia students, faculty, and staff get in for free with their ID. Tickets will go on sale in mid-October.
  • Fall Bands Concert, 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, Hvidsten Hall of Music, Buxton/Hanson Rehearsal Hall.
  • Fall Vocal Jazz Concert, 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, Hvidsten Hall of Music, Christiansen Recital Hall.

December

  • 99th Annual Concordia Christmas Concert, “Welcome All Wonders!” will be performed in Memorial Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, as well as at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis at 5 and 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11. The region’s grandest Christmas celebration features more than 300 student musicians and five ensembles.
    • Tickets for Moorhead performances are $25 to $30 plus processing fees, and tickets for Orchestra Hall performances are $28 to $38, plus facility and handling fees. All tickets go on sale Oct. 28 at ConcordiaChristmas.com.
  • Flute and Clarinet Choirs Concert, 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, Hvidsten Hall of Music, 149 Howard Choral Rehearsal Hall.
  • Low Brass Studio Recital, 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, Hvidsten Hall of Music, Christiansen Recital Hall.
  • Percussion Ensemble Concert, 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, Hvidsten Hall of Music, Buxton/Hanson Rehearsal Hall.
