Fargo, N.D. – If you happen to see smoke rising around the Fargo-Moorhead region this Wednesday, it’s likely coming from a controlled burn operation.
As part of the FM Area Diversion project, The Red River Valley Alliance says local fire departments will assist in clearing a tree pile within a stormwater diversion channel north of Horace.
In a press release, the group says the burn will follow “all applicable environmental and safety precautions, aiming to minimize environmental impacts and ensure public safety.”
“We are committed to keeping disruptions to the public as minimal as possible.”
