Crews battle south Fargo house fire

FARGO, ND – No one was injured when a house caught fire early Friday morning in Fargo.

Crews were called to 1428 1st Avenue South at 6 a.m. on a report of a house fire, near the Gladys Ray Shelter. When they arrived, firefighters found smoke and fire near the front entry of the home. A second alarm was called to bring in additional crews to fight the blaze.

The fire was extinguished in 30 minutes, and the home was determined to be vacant.

The cause is under investigation.

Fire crews were assisted by the Highway Patrol, Salvation Army, Sanford Ambulance and the Fargo Police Department.
