Despite not receiving endorsements, candidates file to run for Minnesota U.S. Senate seat in November

ST PAUL, MINN – Despite not receiving the endorsements from their respective parties for the United States Senate seat currently held by Tina Smith, candidates on both the Republican and DFL side have filed paperwork to run in the November general election.

According to the candidate filings from the Minnesota Secretary of State, Republicans Michele Tafoya and Tom Weiler, along with Democrat Angie Craig, filed paperwork officially Monday to run in November.

Republicans endorsed Adam Schwarze, while Democrats endorsed current Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan.
