Fargo, N.D. – As the search goes on for the man accused of carrying off one of two deadly weekend shooting in Fargo, it turns out the suspect has a criminal record related to gun violence.
In 2024, Tyrque Patrick Jones was busted for robbing two people at gunpoint in June of that year.
Months later in September, Jones eventually pleaded guilty to a lesser misdemeanor charge and a lighter sentence of 45 days in jail with 1 year of supervised probation.
One person was killed and two others were injured when Jones, who is now 20 years old, allegedly opened fire in the 50 block of Broadway just before 2am on August 3rd.
There was a second shooting in the 4700 block of 16th Avenue South, but police say it’s currently unknown if the shootings are connected.
