FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Thousands of visitors are expected to hit the streets of downtown Fargo over the next few days as the Downtown Fargo Street fair makes its return.
The event will have various local and regional vendors selling food and merchandise. It will also feature different types of entertainment each day.
The street fair will happen 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday July 17, and Friday July 18. It will be open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday July 19.
Multiple roads and intersections will be closed due to the street fair. No parking signs are in place and go into effect Wednesday, July 16 at 6 a.m. along affected streets as crews set up for the event.
The following roads and intersections will be closed for the duration of the Street Fair:
Broadway from Main Ave. to 7th Ave. N.
Broadway Intersections at NP Ave., 2nd Ave. N. 3rd Ave. N. and 6th Ave. N. (Broadway Intersections at 1st Ave. N., 4th Ave. N. and 7th Ave. N will remain open to cross traffic)
2nd Ave. N. from Roberts St. to 5th St. N.
NP Ave. from Roberts St. to 5th St. N.
These are the best routes into Downtown Fargo:
North/South – 2nd St. N., 4th St. N., 10th St. N. or University Dr. N.
East/West – Main Ave., 1st Ave. N., 4th Ave. N. or 7th Ave. N.
“We’ve got 2,000 parking spots in parking ramps so come on down try one of the parking ramps around and hop right in,” said Rocky Schneider, the Executive Director of Downtown Community Partnership.
The event is expected to see over 100,000 visitors throughout all three days.
