FARGO, N.D. – Anyone in need of a flu shot this season can take advantage of two walk-in clinics being held in Fargo during the month of October.
Fargo Cass Public Health’s “Flu Shot Friday” events will begin October 17th, with a second event two weeks later on October 31st.
The Oct. 17th event, in the Oak Room at the main FCPH building on 25th Street South, will take place between noon and 4 p.m..
The second will hold hours between 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the same location.
Anyone six months or older can receive the shots, with higher dosages available for seniors.
“Getting the flu vaccine can reduce the severity of illness, lessen possible days of missed school and work and help to prevent the spread of the flu,” Cheryl Wavrin, FCPH Immunization Coordinator wrote in a statement.
“We’re especially encouraging those who are 65 years and older, children under 5 years old, pregnant women and those with chronic medical conditions like heart disease and diabetes to get vaccinated.”
