FARGO, ND – The Fargo City Commission will receive the city’s preliminary budget on Monday.
At a special meeting Monday at noon, Mayor Dr. Timothy Mahoney will present his 2026 preliminary budget recommendations to the city commission. Later that evening, at its regular city commission meeting, the members will discuss and approve the preliminary budget and set a public hearing. The public hearing is a state law requirement.
Should the commission approve, the hearing will be set for Monday, September 15.
The budget is required to be adopted no later than October 10.
