Fargo Fire crews extinguish blaze at Country Hearth

FARGO, N.D. – It took Fargo fire crews a long time to make sure a fire was completely extinguished last night.

Battalion Chief Jason Ness said crews were called just after 9 p.m. to Country Hearth in the 500 block of University Drive North for a fire in an exhaust smokestack in a commercial oven. The department took its time to make sure the fire was completely extinguished, and the area was free of hot material.

Country Hearth was able to continue operation in the unaffected areas after the fire, which remains under investigation.
