Fargo man arrested after reportedly punching and spitting at medical personnel

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) -A Fargo man is facing two felony charges after he allegedly punched and spat on a medical professional attempting to treat him.

According to court documents obtained by Valley News Live, Fargo police responded to Essentia Health on 32nd Avenue on August 22 for an assault call.

When they arrived on scene, the victim said the patient she was evaluating had become irritated and punched her in the forearm. She says the man, later identified as Aziz Kahn, then spat on the victim. She told police that it missed her face but believes it landed on her clothes.

She then said that after Kahn was told that he cannot continue this behavior, he then made another closed fist and tried to punch her again, but missed. They then exited the room and called for security.

Police attempted to talk to Kahn, who refused to give his name or any statement. He was placed under arrest and sent to Cass County Jail, where he resisted deputies and was ultimately placed in a side cell.
