FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A Fargo man has been arrested after police say he allegedly attempted to steal a police trike.
Sean Ferguson is facing charges of attempted theft, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On August 25, Fargo Police responded to 304 Roberts Street, for reports of a disturbance.
Documents say when police arrived, Ferguson appeared to be having a mental health crisis. Police say he refused to accept any resources offered to him, and was acting in an erratic manner.
Police say during their interaction with Ferguson, he attempted to steal a police trike valued at $12,000.
According to court documents, officers removed Ferguson from the vehicle and detained him in handcuffs. Police say Ferguson was in possession of suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Documents say Ferguson was evaluated by a doctor and cleared for jail. He was arrested and taken to Cass County Jail.
His first court appearance is scheduled for August 27.
