FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A Fargo man facing multiple charges in federal court pleaded guilty to three counts of possession of drugs and firearms.
Leotis McGee pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, and another count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
These charges stem from an incident in August of 2024, where West Fargo Police contacted McGee as he was riding a bike without a headlight around 1:15 in the morning.
It was discovered during identification that McGee had warrants out for his arrest, at which point he pushed the bike towards the officer and fled on foot. Officers caught up to him, where they found marijuana, pills containing fentanyl, and a firearm on him.
He had previously been caught with drugs and a gun in a 2023 traffic stop as well.
He is set to be sentenced on January 9, 2026.
