Fargo man sentenced to 40 years in federal prison for illegal drugs, money laundering

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A Fargo man will spend the next 40 years in federal prison.

Karmen Fox was sentenced on charges related to fentanyl, meth and money laundering.

Authorities began looking into him after an overdose death on the Spirit Lake Reservation.

Investigators learned the drugs came from Fox and that he had been working with others to distribute drugs across the state.

In December 2022, Fox distributed more than 100 fentanyl pills to people who in turn drove the pills from Fargo to Devils Lake for further distribution.

Four others have previously been sentenced in the case.
