FARGO – A large police presence in the 1400 block of 34th Street South in Fargo on Thursday afternoon has resulted in the arrest of an armed robbery suspect.
Criminal Investigations Division Sergeant Paul Simonson told Flag Family News that police detectives and investigators located and arrested 29-year-old Nathaniel Smith just after 3 p.m. Thursday. He was identified as a suspect in a Tuesday armed robbery in the 300 block of 26th Avenue North.
Smith was arrested for two outstanding warrants – for terrorizing and a probation violation – as well as other charges. Those charges include burglary, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, preventing arrest and refusal to halt. Additional charges are pending.
