Fargo Police ask for your help with information on an August shooting

FARGO, N.D. – Fargo Police has asked anyone with information on an August 9 shooting to come forward after the department said people interviewed at the scene are no longer cooperating.

The shooting happened around 12:10 AM in the 900 block of 6th Avenue North which is a few blocks west of Gasper’s School of Dance and Performing Arts.

Authorities say they found a man shot in the chest. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers found an unloaded BB gun in the waistband of the man who was shot.

Fargo Police say officers spoke with a woman at the scene who said an argument happened between her, the man who was shot and another man who’s believed to be the shooting suspect just before shots rang out. He’s described as a white man in his late teens to early 20s with fuzzy blonde hair and some facial hair. He was wearing a red sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Authorities say officers searched the area, spoke with possible witnesses and looked for any video that may show what happened.

Detectives say they followed up with the man who was shot and the woman officers talked to at the scene, but aren’t cooperating with them.

“The Fargo Police Department remains committed to pursuing every lead and is asking for the public’s assistance in gathering information on the incident,”
