FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Friday marked Capt. Bill Ahlfeldt’s final day with the Fargo Police Department.
Ahlfeldt has been with the department for over 23 years. He’s served many different roles including night sergeant, patrol lieutenant, Office of Professional Standards Sergeant, specialized services lieutenant and captain overseeing the Criminal Investigations Division.
Ahlfeldt played a key role in launching the Real Time Crime Center, the first of it’s kind in North Dakota.
Ahlfeldt says his passion for mentoring young officers and the relationships he’s built with colleagues, community members and regional partners are the highlights of his career.
Ahlfeldt will join the Moorhead Police Department as Assistant Chief.
