Fargo Police clear scene of suspicious package, deemed safe

FARGO, ND — Fargo Police have cleared the scene in south Fargo after a suspicious package was called in.

At 11:39 a.m., FPD officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of 45th Street South for the report of a suspicious package. The caller stated they received a package they did not remember ordering, that it was wrapped in an odd way and thought something might be moving inside.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Red River Valley SWAT Bomb Team arrived on scene around 12:34 p.m., and the general public was asked to avoid the area, which has been cleared and deemed safe by the Bomb Squad. There was no explosive device or explosive materials located inside the package.
