FARGO, N.D. – Fargo Police have arrested a 45-year-old man after Red River Regional Dispatch received numerous calls from a male making threats towards a local hotel and those inside the hotel.
Fargo Police were called at before 10 p.m. Friday and were able to identify the man as 45-year-old Luther Brewington of Fargo.
They went to his residence, in the 3400 block of Fiechtner Drive South, and attempted to speak with him. He refused to exit his residence despite officers ordering him to do so.
Due to his criminal history and the threats he made, the Red River Valley SWAT team was called. They arrived and deployed several flash-sound devices in an effort to get Brewington to leave the home. He did eventually leave and surrendered to officers nearly five hours after the first calls came into dispatch.
He’s facing charges of terrorizing, preventing arrest, harassment of 9-1-1. He also was found to have an outstanding warrant.
