Fargo pool pass prices increase slightly for 2026 season

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) -Fargo’s five public pools will open soon with prices up slightly from last year.

The Fargo Park District says it’s worth the value.

Last year, concerns grew after pass prices more than doubled. The district eventually lowered those prices.

This year, a family pass for all pools is $360. A pass that doesn’t include Island Park is $242.

“If you’re buying for an individual pool between North, South, Island, and Madison, and Davies, if you buy just an individual pool pass it’s actually a decrease from last year,” said David Klundt, Aquatics and Recreation Manager for the Fargo Park District.

Last year, an all pools pass was $350 while a four-for-one pass was $235.

Fargo Park says there’s a reason for the slight increase.

“What we did with our fee philosophy as of last year with the new pool, is all five of our pools have different admission rates and different passes based on the amenities that pool offers. So that’s why there’s a difference in pricing structure,” Klundt said.

A family pass for the new Romkey Park Pool in Moorhead is $180. A punch card pass for the Veterans Memorial Pool in West Fargo is $40 for 10 punches.

With a new pool in the region, Fargo Parks says it’s not worried.

“I think it’s awesome they’re redoing their pool, adding a splash pad. But, we all have different amenities that we offer. So I really don’t see that being a problem one bit,” Klundt said.

For qualifying Fargo residents, the district offers a free pool pass.

“Last year, we actually added adults. It was a youth only in the past but now youth and adults who are Fargo residents, who qualify under the free and reduced hot lunch program through the national criteria can actually get a free pool pass,” Klundt said.

Island Park Pool opens June 1st. The other four pools in the district open June 8th.

Season passes need to be purchased online.
