FARGO – Fargo Public Schools is confirming a criminal investigation is underway at Davies High School for alleged sharing of sexually explicit material among students via social media.
“The Fargo Public School District was made aware of an ongoing criminal investigation conducted by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation into the use of Snapchat to create and distribute sexually explicit materials,” Fargo Public Schools spokeswoman AnnMarie Campbell said in an email to Flag Family News.
North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley also confirmed the investigation.
“Our North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation is working closely with county and city law-enforcement agencies,” he said in a statement to Flag Family News. “The Cass County State’s attorney’s office is currently providing oversight for this ongoing and potentially expanding investigation. I have committed our BCI investigators to remain engaged in this effort throughout.”
The district said the BCI ‘executed a search warrant at Davies High School for personal property of specific students located on the premises of Davies High School’ on Monday.
“The District and Davies High School are fully cooperating with BCI as it investigates this matter,” Campbell said.
