FARGO, N.D. – Fargo Public School officials are laying out their transition plan for the new Horace Mann Elementary School.
In a document that will be discussed at the district’s board meeting next week, the district laid out the plans for the district, which includes building a three-section elementary school to house students in grades kindergarten through 5th grade. The building will serve more than 400 students.
Once completed, the current Roosevelt and Madison school buildings will either be closed or repurposed, according to the board memo from Superintendent Dr. Cory Steiner and Associate Superintendent Missy Eidsness.
During the 2026–27 and 2027–28 school years, students affected by construction or new attendance boundaries will attend Washington, Roosevelt, or Madison.
The estimated cost of the project is $45 million.
