Fargo School Board to consider implementing elementary attendance boundary changes

FARGO, ND – School board members in Fargo are expected to take action on the implementation of attendance boundary changes for the 2025-26 school year.

Those changes will only impact elementary schools, the board was previously told by the Planning Committee.

The issue lays with current capacity issues at both Bennett and Centennial Elementary Schools. At Bennett, a utilization rate of 88 percent is present; while at Centennial, the utilization rate is 97 percent. Under the current boundaries, Bennett Elementary would be over 100 percent utilization, while Centennial would be at 97 percent.

With the proposed boundary changes, all elementary schools would be under 90 percent utilization.

The board will meet Tuesday.
