OAKES, N.D. (Valley News Live) – The Oakes Police Department is assisting authorities in a federal investigation into an incident that led to the arrest of several people.
Valley News Live hasn’t been able to confirm any details of the arrests, but did learn from Oakes Police Chief Matt O’Brien the Drug Enforcement Administration is investigating.
Valley News Live received tips from viewers on May 16, including one saying multiple agencies were in town and several arrests were made, even claiming that there was a helicopter circling the town.
Valley News Live reached out to the DEA’s Omaha Division for details.
