MOORHEAD, Minn. – Part of the area under construction for the 11th Street underpass in Moorhead will soon reopen.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation said one lane will reopen each way on First Avenue North between Ninth and 12th Streets at 4:00 PM on Friday, October 10. Crews are continuing to work on boulevards, sidewalks and traffic signals.
Drivers will still not be able to turn onto 10th, 11th or 12th Streets as crews are finishing work on the pavement and sidewalks.
MNDOT said once all lanes on First Ave. N. are reopened in November, officials expect Center Avenue will close between 10th and 14th Streets for the last stage of underpass construction.
MNDOT will host a Coffee and Construction public meeting on Tuesday, October 21 at 9:00 AM at the Hjemkomst Center. People with Ames Construction and the City of Moorhead will give updates and answer questions about the project.
