First on Flag Family: Jahner discusses drug party investigations

Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner discussion drug investigations on The Coffee Club with Janae White and Ronnie Lee

CASS COUNTY, N.D. – Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner explains his office’s investigations involving drug parties.

“One person is designated to not use at that particular time and be available with Narcan to revive anyone else who may overdose,” Jahner said on WDAY Radio’s The Coffee Club.

The Sheriff’s Office has seen drugs taken into Fargo and West Fargo and then to smaller areas. Because of what Jahner calls “tightening at the border” he says drug prices are going up because of a low supply and high demand.

“A lot of it is coming up from that Arizona and Texas area. By the time it makes it’s way up here, that price increases. That’s why it makes it enticing for narcotics dealers to sell it up here,” Jahner explained.

Justin calls into The Coffee Club to thank Sheriff Jahner

Coffee Club listener Justin moved to Minneapolis after living in Fargo for 20 years. He says he and his girlfriend are celebrating 90 day sobriety from fentanyl.

“I was able to come back to my community where it was less available and less in your face. I wanted to say thank you to Sheriff Jahner because I think without an environment like that, I don’t think my girlfriend and I could celebrate 90 days clean like we have recently,” Justin said.
