FARGO, ND – Vandals have struck the Northern Plains Botanic Garden in north Fargo.
Former board member Barbara Villella tells Flag Family that the vandals struck sometime in the past week.
“Alice in Wonderland statue, plus the teapot, magic mushroom, caterpillar, etc., were stolen,” she said. Nearby, a rabbit statue and log were not. Several other fairies, the glass conservatory and associated furniture, fishing dock and boy fisher, a Verdis Gris fairy and gazing ball are among the other items that have gone missing.
Villella says this isn’t the first time vandalism has happened at the gardens either.
“We have had plants stolen out of the gardens before,” she said. This year alone, the fairy gardens and Alice in Wonderland items have had to be replaced due to vandalism.
Flag Family News has reached out to Fargo Police regarding the vandalism. We will update this story with any new information as it is released.
