Former Cass County Commissioner Chad Peterson announces campaign for Fargo City Commission

FARGO, N.D. – Former Cass County Commission Chair Chad Peterson is running for a seat on the Fargo City Commission.

He believes the city needs leadership to ensure fiscal responsibility, support public safety and build a transparent and collaborative government.

“Fargo is a special place, our people are hardworking, our values are strong, and our future is bright,” Peterson said. “I’ve spent years serving at the county level, building relationships and delivering results. I’m running for City Commission to help guide our city’s next chapter—building on what works, addressing challenges head-on, and ensuring Fargo remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family. I’m excited to earn your support and work every day for a better Fargo.”

Peterson touts owning and operating multiple businesses as giving him real-world experience in balancing budgets, meeting payroll, navigating regulations, and creating jobs.

He earned the Commissioner of the Year award from the North Dakota Association of Counties and chaired the National Association of County’s Homeland Security Subcommittee.
