Fourth person dies from North Dakota storms

STUTSMAN COUNTY, N.D. – Another person has died after severe storms in North Dakota.

Authorities say found a 76-year-old man dead in the Cortenay area. Three people were also killed in Enderlin.

Governor Kelly Armstrong is spending much of the day Wednesday touring storm damage in Enderlin, Page and Hunter where volunteers have been helping clear debris.

Over the weekend, Armstrong declared a statewide disaster to free up state agencies to assist in the recovery.

Cass County is still seeking volunteers to assist with storm cleanup with a slight change.

Hunter and Page continue to look for help, but the county says volunteers are no longer needed in Erie.

People are asked to contact volunteer coordinators before heading out to help:

  • City of Hunter: Sean Richardson – (701) 367-2128 or Brad Bateman – (701) 430-3596
  • City of Page: Kyle Erickson – (701) 388-6590
