FPS School Board picks architectural company for new elementary school

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – The Fargo Public Schools School Board has approved an architectural company to help build the new elementary school at the Horace Mann site.

The school board has picked ICON Architectural Group for the job. Six other companies were also vetted for the job.

The new three-story school is said to feature grade-level learning hubs, a secure main entry, and dedicated STEAM and visual arts suites.

“In their presentation, they had a former superintendent who had been a North Dakota superintendent for many years. He just left the field to work with them. He talked a lot about how the space needs to be about belonging. We always have to make sure we’re centering conversations around kids,” said Fargo Public Schools Supt. Dr. Cory Steiner.

The new school is scheduled to open in the fall of 2028.
