GARDNER, N.D. – A 34-year-old Gardner man is being held on a Gross Sexual Imposition charge after an early morning report of an alleged sexual assault.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office received the call at 4:45 a.m. at a residence in Gardner.
Before deputies arrived on scene, a juvenile female, who is the alleged victim, removed herself from Kaleb Chase’s residence. Once on scene, deputies investigated the incident with the victim, identified the suspect’s residence and established a perimeter around the home while preparing search warrants.
Chase exited the residence and was taken into custody by deputies at 7:30 a.m. He was transported to the Cass County Jail, where he’s currently being held.
The juvenile female received medical care.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is investigating but believe there are no additional suspects.
