Gov. Armstrong says no N.D. National Guard troops are involved with Iran operations

NORTH DAKOTA – North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong says no National Guard troops from the state are involved in military operations in Iran.

Minnesota National Guard officials say 250 personnel are in or near the Middle East on regular deployments.

Oil and gas prices have risen since the United States and Israel’s strikes on Iran. Armstrong said that probably won’t impact drilling in North Dakota.

“When you have men and women in U.S. uniforms in trouble… We like higher oil prices, but not at that cost. We want robust oil prices from a free market,” Armstrong explained on “The Steve Hallstrom Show” on The Flag.
