GRAFTON, N.D. – An Arkansas man is facing felony charges after allegedly assaulting a vulnerable juvenile at the Life Skills and Transition Center in Grafton.
According to court documents, authorities responded to the Center on March 18 for a report of abuse of a vulnerable juvenile. When on scene, a deputy spoke to the juvenile’s mother, who reported her child had been punched by a caregiver at the center.
During the investigation, a second caregiver said they witnessed the incident.
The caregiver said he walked into the juvenile’s room and found 41-year-old Antonio Cook with a closed fist. The punches from Cook were landing on both sides of the juvenile’s face, left leg and lower right abdominal area.
Cook faces a Class C felony for simple assault on a vulnerable juvenile.
