FARGO, N.D. – Heroes Compass is holding their 4th annual walk in Fargo to raise awareness about suicides among military veterans.
The 2.2 mile walk will take place on Monday September 22nd at 9:22 a.m. in honor of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.
The distance, date and time all have significance, since 22 veterans take their own lives each day.
The event will begin at Elephant Park leading to the Downtown Post 762 VFW.

Kuhn says they’re expecting at least a hundred or more people to attend.
If you’re unable to be there in person, Kuhn says people can take part in a virtual walk.
Virtual walkers will be entered into a drawing, and the winner can choose a hero who will receive a care package.
Empty Nest Blooms is also partnering with the nonprofit by handing out flowers to all participants, who are then encouraged to give them to someone else at the end of the walk.
