FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Strong winds exceeding 50 miles per hour on Sunday caused damage to Fargo’s Hector International Airport, including a portion of the parking ramp roof and a passenger terminal window, airport officials confirmed.

The severe gusts led to a section of the parking ramp’s roof membrane becoming disconnected and shattered a window in the passenger terminal.

Airport staff have already replaced the broken window. However, the timeline for repairing the roof damage remains uncertain. Officials stated that the damage will not affect operations at the parking ramp.

No injuries were reported, and no other property damage occurred during the wind event. Airport officials noted that they have experienced similar wind-related incidents in the past.
