FARGO, N.D. – It was a record-breaking year for adoptions at a local shelter.
“We are thrilled to share that we just reached 1,500 adoptions for the year, officially making this a record-breaking year for Homeward Animal Shelter,” the shelter posted on Facebook. “This is the most adoptions we’ve ever had at this point, and we couldn’t be more proud!”
The shelter is amid a capital campaign to build a state-of-the-art facility.
“Our current space is overcrowded and outdated, limiting our ability to provide the care, comfort, and second chances that every animal deserves,” the shelter said.
As of Friday morning, 20 percent of the $15 million goal has been raised.
