Hospitalizations for COVID, influenza down in North Dakota; COVID, RSV cases increase

BISMARCK, N.D. – Hospitalizations are down for influenza and COVID-19 in North Dakota, while cases of COVID-19 and RSV are experiencing a slight rise.

The North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services says 1,037 new cases of influenza were reported for the week ending January 10, a slight decrease from the prior week. The state also reported 350 new cases of COVID-19, an increase, and 30 new RSV cases, also a slight increase.

97 hospitalizations for influenza and 44 for COVID-19 were reported, both decreases, while a slight increase in hospitalizations for RSV was reported, with eight people hospitalized.
