FOSSTON, Minn. – One person is dead after a house fire in Fosston Wednesday morning.
Crews responded around 4:30 to a home on the 700 block of 1st Street East near a bus garage. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says when first responders arrived, they found the house fully engulfed in flames and believed one person was inside.
Authorities say the fire department put out the flames and found a person dead inside the home. Their identity hasn’t been made public.
The Sheriff’s Office says others were able to get out, some with injuries.
The Minnesota Fire Marshal’s office is investigating. A cause has not been identified.
