(GRAND FORKS, ND) – A house has significant smoke and fire damage in a kitchen with smoke throughout the main floor after a fire in Grand Forks.
Firefighters responded to the 1700 block of 9th Avenue North on Sunday afternoon on reports of smoke in a home. Shortly after the call, flames were visible coming from the home.
When firefighters arrived, they encountered heavy smoke on the main level of the home. All occupants were outside and accounted for. Flames had been extinguished by a garden hose prior to the department’s arrival to the home.
No occupants were injured or displaced. The cause of the fire was determined to be cooking related.
