Moorhead, M.N. – The Moorhead Police Department says they will start to carry out “targeted traffic enforcement” in the area where a 9-year old boy on a bicycle was run over and killed last month.
On July 31st, Adam Amin was hit by a city water truck at the intersection of 40th Avenue South and 14th Street.
Authorities say ongoing traffic patrols will ramp up in that area “and other key locations throughout the city” leading up to the new school year.
“Our officers will be more visible to remind drivers of our shared responsibility in keeping Moorhead streets safe,” Chief Chris Helmick said in part in a statement.
Minnesota State Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
