Spirit Lake says law enforcement is in contact with one of the two suspects, who is cooperating

FORT TOTTEN, N.D. (Valley News Live) – The Spirit Lake Tribe is providing more information on an incident that occurred on October 2.
According to a release from the Spirit Lake Tribe, the Bureau of Indian Affairs received a call of a stolen vehicle in Devils Lake just before 7:00 P.M. Just minutes later, a BIA officer arrived on the scene of a single-vehicle crash near St. Michael within the boundaries of the Spirit Lake Reservation.
The incident involves two adult men who have been confirmed and identified. Their names are not being released at this time to protect the integrity of the investigation. BIA law enforcement is continuing to search for others connected to this matter.
A text alert was issued to Reservation residents, urging the community to “remain vigilant”. At this time, there is no active threat to the public.
